This program combines online coursework with a field experience in an accredited elementary school near you—no matter where you live in the U.S. Using a tablet and video recording technology, instructors at K-State will be able to observe and evaluate your teaching in real time via video and provide feedback to help you improve and excel.

Special Fee Structure for 2020-21 Academic Year
To assist our students during the COVID-19 outbreak, we are reducing online tuition and eliminating distance fees for many programs.
After successful completion of this program, you will be eligible to apply for an Initial Teaching License for teaching K-6 in the state of Kansas. The license will transfer to other states, although completion of additional tests may be required, and this program is open to students outside of Kansas.
The Professional Education Unit at Kansas State University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE).
