Admission Requirements

  • You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all transfer coursework.

Some programs may have additional admission requirements. Visit the program webpage for more information.

Don’t meet admission requirements? Contact an online admissions representative at online@k-state.edu or 800-622-2578 to find out about other pathways into K-State. You may be eligible for conditional admission.

  • Fall semester (begins in late August): Aug. 1

  • Spring semester (begins in late January): Jan. 1

  • Summer semester (begins in late May): May 1

Kansas State University accepts transfer credits from community colleges, technical colleges and other universities – even if it has been several years since you were last enrolled.

After you submit your application to K-State and all official documentation has been received, an official evaluation of credit will occur.

Student-issued or personal copies of transcripts or test scores are not considered official records and will not be accepted.

Check Application Status

Once your application, application fee and additional required documentation are received, your application will be reviewed. All items must be received by the application deadline. It takes 4-6 weeks for an application to be processed once all materials have been received.
