Tuition and Fees

Special Fee Structure for 2020-21 Academic Year
To assist our students during the COVID-19 outbreak, we are reducing online tuition and eliminating distance fees for many programs.

Online and Off-Campus Courses

Students taking online or off-campus courses through Kansas State University Global Campus will pay the same tuition rate regardless of where they live.

Some graduate programs and on-campus courses have different tuition and fee structures than what is outlined in the tuition and fee schedule below. A list of these programs can be found below the tuition and fee schedule.

Total Cost of an Online Course

You can find the current cost of a course, including all fees, by using the Class Search. The cost shown in the description of each course is the total cost for the course.

On-Campus Courses

Most on-campus courses are assessed at a tuition rate based on your resident/nonresident status. Exception: On-campus summer and intersession courses are assessed a $12 per credit hour course fee.

Proctoring Fees

Some courses may require you to take proctored exams and most proctor services require students to pay a fee. If your course includes exams that require a proctor, you will be contacted by K-State Online prior to the start of the semester. Learn more about proctored exams and choosing a proctor.
