Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Online

All students are required to meet the general university admission requirements.

The nonprofit leadership undergraduate certificate is designed to enhance the careers of those looking to work in the nonprofit sector. The skills learned are applicable to many positions within the nonprofit world.

Required (9 credits)

• LEAD 350 - Culture and Context of Leadership (3 credits)
• LEAD 420 - Theories of Nonprofit Leadership (3 credits)
• *LEAD 499 - Nonprofit Organization Internship Seminar (3 credits)

Internship Experience
You can complete your internship experience at a place of employment. The program will support students in locating and obtaining nonprofit internships through advising and notifying of internship opportunities.

The goal of the internship is to gain some practical experience and participate in a case study of an organization. Internship experiences will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Generally, each internship should be at least 150 hours, spread out over any amount of time and be with a 501(c)(3) or other approved organization.
