All students are required to meet the general university admission requirements.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of prerequisite coursework in accounting or finance; management concepts; marketing; and foodservice management, event and/or lodging management

If this prerequisite is not met, you may be admitted provisionally with the expectation of completion within the first two semesters at K-State. Industry experience in some aspect of hospitality management is preferred. If the student has no industry-related work experience, 1,000 hours of such experience must be completed during the degree program.

Additional Documentation
Your application must include the following:

• Statement of objectives: One to two pages outlining why you want to pursue a graduate degree, accomplishments/traits that would make you a good addition to our program, and future plans/goals. Most statements are three to four paragraphs in length.
• Names and emails of three professional and/or academic references who will provide letters of recommendation. References will be contacted automatically using the email addresses provided by you, but it is your responsibility to ensure letters are submitted before the program's application deadline.
• Resume/curriculum vitae
• Unofficial transcripts from each institution attended
  • Failure to list any colleges or universities from which you received a degree or enrolled in graduate coursework may result in dismissal from the university.
  • If transcripts are not in English, the applicant must furnish a translation by an appropriate authority.
  • You will be asked for official transcripts after notification of admission.
