Online MBA Program

Separate from the university’s tuition model, all PMBA courses cost the same flat rate of $2,750 per course. The standard program consists of 12 courses; however, up to two courses can be waived depending on your undergraduate degree.* With this pricing structure, you are able to complete all courses in the program for $33,000 or less, with no additional fees for online or out-of-state students.

Students save $2,000-$3,000 with all textbooks and course materials included in tuition, compared to similar MBA programs.

In addition, you will have all the same access to faculty and university resources as on-campus students, including the Career Center, the Writing Center, academic advisors, the K-State Libraries and more.

The Professional MBA program at K-State is one of the only online MBA programs in the nation to include a faculty-led international travel experience built into the curriculum. Past experiences have been held in China, Taiwan and the UK and have led to immersive international learning that coursework alone cannot provide.

The trip is typically held in the summer and lasts 10-14 days. You can expect to visit four to five companies that usually represent a major export of destination country, as well as touring culturally significant sites and events. Through this experience, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with C-suite executives, learn about strategic business decision making processes, understand local and global factors that influence their decisions and gain perspective on workplace culture and norms. Travel expenses, such as flight, lodging and food, are paid for out of pocket by students and average around $2,500. The travel expenses associated with the international experience are the only additional program costs outside of tuition.

The international experience is part of what makes K-State's online professional MBA unique, and though exceptions are rare, students unable to travel abroad can discuss alternatives with their advisor. The two-day student orientation held on the Manhattan, Kansas campus includes team building, networking and professional development components. New students will be required to attend, but all returning students are encouraged to take advantage of this networking opportunity.

In addition to annual orientations, professional development is offered through Graduate Studies Advisory Council (GSAC) meetings and other regular events including Graduate Student Pro Con and data analytics workshops. Past topics and speakers have included:

The program can be completed anywhere in the world as long as there is internet access. Students have successfully complete courses while deployed and through multiple duty stations. The resources available to military-connected students allow us to support students where they are. Our Office of Veteran Affairs, Non-Traditional and Veteran Student Services office and K-State Military Affiliated Resource Center are all available to assist online students. All students are required to meet the general university admission requirements.

Additional Requirements

• 3 years of professional business experience
• Completion of 6 credits of undergraduate economics, 6 credits of undergraduate statistics or 3 credits of graduate statistics, and 3 credits of undergraduate business calculus
• GMAT waiver with 3 years professional business experience

Program-Specific Deadlines for U.S. Applicants
Applications are accepted year-round. There are 5 start terms (January, March, June, August, October), and you should plan to apply 4 weeks from your desired start.

• One-page statement of objectives
• Resume/curriculum vitae
• Unofficial transcripts from each institution attended
• Failure to list any colleges or universities from which you received a degree or enrolled in graduate coursework may result in dismissal from the university.
• If your transcripts are not in English, you must furnish a translation by an appropriate authority.
• You will be asked for official transcripts after notification of admission.

With two times advertised wage growth over the past three years for jobs requesting an MBA vs jobs that don't (23% vs 11%), there is no better time to earn your MBA.
