Nuclear Engineering Minor

All students are required to meet the general university admission requirements.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from any ABET-accredited institution with a GPA of 2.3 or higher
  OR
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from K-State or another ABET-accredited institution with a GPA of 2.3 or higher*

*If you are pursuing a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at K-State, you have the opportunity to earn a degree option in nuclear engineering by successfully completing a particular course sequence as part of your major course of study.

The nuclear engineering minor will prepare students for careers in:

• nuclear power plant construction
• nuclear engineering operations and regulations
