Freshmen Students

I have not attended college at all or have fewer than 24 completed college credit hours.

Admission requirements for high school graduates 21 or older
If you graduated from an accredited high school and are 21 or older, you must:

  • Submit a final high school transcript or GED scores to the Office of Admissions

  • Request official transcripts for any college or university coursework attempted be sent to the Office of Admissions (contact information below)

Admission requirements for new freshmen
For admission to the university, you'll want to complete the pre-college curriculum with at least a 2.0 GPA for Kansas residents or 2.50 GPA for non-residents AND achieve one of the following: 

  • 21 or higher ACT composite score OR

  • 1060 or higher on the SAT ERW+M OR

  • Rank in the top third of your graduating class

AND, if applicable, achieve a 2.0 GPA or higher on all college credit taken in high school.

Application Deadlines

  • Fall semester (begins in late August): Aug. 1

  • Spring semester (begins in late January): Jan. 1

  • Summer semester (begins in late May): May 1

Request Documentation

Request your official high school transcript or GED equivalent, ACT or SAT scores and college transcripts from each institution attended be sent to the Office of Admissions (contact information below). Exception: students who are 21 or older are not required to submit ACT or SAT scores.

Student-issued or personal copies of transcripts or test scores are not considered official records and will not be accepted. 

Check Application Status

Once your application, application fee and additional required documentation are received, your application will be reviewed. All items must be received by the application deadline. It takes 4-6 weeks for an application to be processed once all materials have been received.
