Welcome to K-State! As an online learner, you have numerous resources to help with your success. On these pages, you’ll find a number of resources to help you get on your way to completing your K-State education.

Enrollment Services

  • Course Search: The course search tool allows you to search all online courses offered at K-State.

  • How to Enroll: This section will guide you through enrolling in online classes. You must be admitted to a degree or certificate program, or approved as a nondegree-seeking student, degree seeking or non-degree seeking, before enrolling.

New Student information

  • Checklist: Learn how to get started now and actions you can take now to set yourself up for success

  • Academic Advising: Your academic advisor will help you reach your academic goals as a distance student.

  • eID: Your eID is your K-State username and part of your email address.

  • Transfer Equivalency: K-State’s Transfer Equivalency guide can help guide students who plan to transfer in courses to apply to their K-State degree.

  • Email: K-State uses Office 365 for email, calendaring, notes and task management. You will use your official K-State email account for all university business and communications.

  • Canvas: Canvas is a comprehensive, easy-to-use, web-based learning management system that transforms the everyday classroom into interactive web sessions for the K-State community. You will complete your online courses through Canvas.

  • Textbooks: Learn how to locate and purchase required textbooks. It is important to order textbooks and materials right away to account for shipping times.

  • Online Exams and Proctored Testing: Some distance education courses may require an exam proctor. Our website provides more information on proctoring services and locations.

  • IT Services: The K-State IT Help Desk is the first point of contact for IT needs.

Graduate Students
Distance students pursuing a graduate degree need to be familiar with the K-State Graduate School. The Graduate School will help ensure you have all the tools to be successful.

Virtual Commencement
Graduation is a time to celebrate for all students. We hope it will be possible for you to travel to the K-State campus in Manhattan, Kansas, to participate in commencement. However, if this is not possible, we offer virtual commencement.
