Military Students and Families

Military-connected students have been a cornerstone of our university for more than 150 years, and K-State has been recognized nationally year after year for its military inclusiveness. The Manhattan, Kansas, campus is just a 15-minute drive to Fort Riley, and the university has also partnered with Fort Leavenworth to offer programs specifically designed for military personnel.

Our Office of Military Affairs is available to help you through the process of applying and receiving tuition assistance and GI Bill® benefits.

Fort Riley Programs

For those stationed at Fort Riley, K-State Online offers the flexibility of our online degrees with a physical support presence on our main Manhattan, Kansas, campus. We also partner with the K-State Polytechnic in Salina, Kansas, to offer a pair of programs on post.

Courses are offered at a reduced military tuition rate of $250 per credit hour, with tuition assistance available. You also have the ability to stack your benefits by combining tuition assistance, grants, scholarships and other funding resources to make your education even more affordable.

K-State has articulated military credit for various occupation fields and evaluates hundreds of Joint Service Transcripts each year. In collaboration with the Kansas Board of Regents and other partners, specialized programs have been developed for the occupational areas listed below. These represent specialize programs.
